That just don't work. But I found a solution. Opened firefox, then went to
help, to trouble shooting and hit enter and the first button was to reset to
factory settings. Hope it worked, I've been having allot of problems with
firefox. Thanks for the input.

I'm still using Vista, Firefox on my desktop is nothing more than a short
cut. is this what you want me to give the shift enter a go at? And yes. I
want to revert back to factory settings. Thanks

you have to be on the desktop with all firefox tabs and program closed. then
press shift enter on the firefox desktop icon. it will open a safe mode
dialog with several options. to run in safe mode, revert back to the factory
defaults which will remove all your settings bookmarks and add ons.

Okay, I backed up my bookmarks. Using latest version of firefox and the
shift enter took me to my start page as if I just hit enter on firefox. This
did not put me into safe mode. Did I miss something? Thanks.

open the bookmark list with shift control b. you will have to use the w e
bypass key first insert b.
then find the backup control tab. in there you have the options to
import, export or backup the bookmark file. but you will have to search for
the folder you want to save it to or you may never find the file. grin. it
will be called bookmark.htm unless you change the name. i add the date it
was created so i know which one is the newest file.

How do you go about exporting bookmarks. I can't locate export anywhere.
Thanks.

you usually do not have to re install firefox. export your bookmarks then
start firefox in safe mode. press shift enter on the desktop icon to do
this. there you can run with no add ons or set firefox back to factory
defaults. but this will erase bookmarks ,passwords saved, firefox web page
colors if you changed them and add ons you may of installed.
as far as youtube is concerned you do not need to use the flash player.
all there videos use html5 standard. and they give you the option to use
it when on there web page.;

Subject: Oh, crashes and plug-ins and Firefox, oh my!

Hello,
I'm using the latest version of Firefox on a Windows 7 64-bit Toshiba
Ultrabook and latest WE version. I also have Adobe flash player 17 or
something similar. I've done google searches before, like maybe 2 weeks
ago, and I've found music I wanted that I could play. Now, for example,
when
I search for: "Vivaldi: Gloria" there is a long pause and the message I
finally receive says, "Plug-in" is not responding. Stop plug-in or
Continue." I get no info as to what the plug-in is and doing some
research,
I can't seem to fix the problem. I did un-install and then re-install
Firefox, I checked and updated some of the WE factory settings and still
the
problem exists. Yes, I did try with Internet Explorer and then I tried
going to youTube which really screwed up my system. I'm back to basic
settings now.
How do I fix this?
Jo Taliaferro
