Hi Brendon,
It really doesn't matter what I do, I just can't seem to effect any change in behavior. I tried unchecking options in the accessibility area, and even some in the reading panel, but no go.

The version I am attempting to make use of is called "Reader DC." I have no idea what DC means, but I'm starting to think it means "don't care," as in don't care what I do!

Like I said previously, I can just convert the .pdf files to text, but it's just the principal of the thing. I should be getting a bit more cooperation from this thing.

Oh well, I can certainly find better things to do than struggle with this thing, so I think I'll just put it aside for a while and start doing more to copy and organize files on this new system. Maybe even install my scanner and see if I can't get my old Openbook 8 to work as well.

If you come up with some more ideas, please send them along.

Take care,

Larry

Well, I just reinstalled the program from a new download, and had no better
luck. I even checked the option for screen readers, and that didn't even help.
I do not see your protection option nor do I see any security option anywhere
in the file menu either. This just looks like a whole new interface altogether.

Oh well, I can convert to text and probably do just as well in most cases. Sure
is weird though.

When I first used the Adobe reader, I had to go into the file menu and uncheck the
protection items, so the accessibility would work. I think they are listed under
"security".
