Hi Brendon,
It really doesn't matter what I do, I just can't seem to effect any change in
behavior. I tried unchecking options in the accessibility area, and even some
in the reading panel, but no go.

The version I am attempting to make use of is called "Reader DC." I have no
idea what DC means, but I'm starting to think it means "don't care," as in
don't care what I do!

Like I said previously, I can just convert the .pdf files to text, but it's
just the principal of the thing. I should be getting a bit more cooperation
from this thing.

Oh well, I can certainly find better things to do than struggle with this
thing, so I think I'll just put it aside for a while and start doing more to
copy and organize files on this new system. Maybe even install my scanner and
see if I can't get my old Openbook 8 to work as well.

If you come up with some more ideas, please send them along.

Take care,

Larry
