I probably shouldn't use this forum for this question, but is there a reason
to use Outlook (regarding email) instead of WLM? I used to go to
outlook.com before I learned of Windows Live Mail.

At work, using Outlook 2010, windows 7 and WE 8.4, I sometimes have this
happen. It seems to be less frequent for some reasons lately. What I see
is that the spell checker window opens but nothing populates in it. That is
where Outlook and WE both freeze and Outlook will only allow me to either
wait for a response, which I've tried and doesn't work or allows me to
restart it. I'm using a bit of vision to see this message option when I hit
alt F4 to try to cancel out.
The only thing I can figure is that this freeze happens if I hit Control S
to send a message too quickly after typing the message. Maybe I trained my
body to pause before sending and that's why I'm getting the crash less
often.
If I do restart Outlook, WE will start speaking again, but I have lost the
message I typed, which has made me scream a few times.
So, if you hang and you are using Outlook, try hitting Alt F4 then tabbing
once then hitting enter. If you are getting the same problem I have gotten,
this may kill Outlook and have it restart, thus allowing WE to start
speaking again.
And for anyone who is wondering, I only leave the automatic spell checking
on by default because I do not want to risk sending an email with typos in
it if I forgot to use the Alt ' method to proof my message.

When sending 2 emails today, my speech just stopped and of course, I had no
idea what to do. Could someone please tell me what to do when this happens
so I don't have to keep rebooting my computer? Thanks.
