Hi, Go to the Window-eyes control panel, control-backslash. Select the apps menu by pressing alt-a. Down arrow to ie enhance Press enter. The first item is notification options. Press enter on it. Finally press enter on play sound.
That should do it. If you want a quiet sound, you can replace IEEnhance.wav with one of your own keeping the same name. This file is located in your profile directory. Control-backslash, alt-f, e. Hello listers, The subject line poses the question. I am trying to find a way to stop the clanging sound for downloading or saving a file in IE. The sound has a way of waking my dear wife, and she really doesn't appreciate it, and I really can't blame her. I have looked all over the control panel, and also the manual and can find no reference to the matter. Please help, my marriage may be endangered, Larry _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
