Using W7 HP 32, latest WE and now Tbird 31.7
Thanks to the list member who suggested renaming the main Thunderbird
file in order to stop the automatic updating.
Thunderbird 31.7, which allows mouse key access to the screen, has been
reinstalled once again.
Thunderbird.exe has been renamed to Thunderbird 317.exeand Tools,
Options, Advanced, update was inspected in order to determine whether
the programme was still being told not to update.
The reinstallation of 31.7 and file renaming was done while not
connected to the net so no automatic updating could take place until the
renaming was completed. A new Desktop shortcut was made to reflect the
new filename.
Version 31.7 was used to write this message.
Now I'll just have to wait for a few days to see if Thunderbird version
38.1 installs itself once again.
