Hi: I recently started using the free version of Window-eyes because my SMA ran out after version 8.4, and I wanted to try the free version anyway. Although I used Eloquence when I had the paid version, I figured that I could get used to the speech synthesizers that come with the free version. I started using Microsoft Anna because I liked the sound of her voice, but I found that she was painfully slow so I switched to the ESpeak voice, and while I found it difficult to understand at first, I have gotten used to it, and I found it to be at least as fast, maybe faster than Eloquence, so, at least for now, I am comfortable with the free version of Window-eyes. If I get to a point where I need tech support from AISquared, and have to pay the going rate for it, well I guess I will regret having made the decision to go with the free version of Window-eyes, but for now, I am glad that I saved the several hundred bucks or whatever the SMA for version 9 would have cost me. Of course, that is only my opinion and I can see why others don't feel the same way. Kevin Huber
