Manny,

I am working up a procedure to raise the Window-Eyes service to /AboveNormal
priority. Generally this is a safer approach then using CPU Affinity and
locking a serve down to one or more cores. If you can do <Ctrl><Shift><Escape>,
click on the details tab, and the raise the priority of each Window-Eyses
process to Above Normal. I believe you will get a fairly optimal behavior for
the screen-reader and audio performance. Certainly if the CPU usage was high it
will at least guarantee Window-Eyes a better shot at at getting the CPU
resources it needs.

P.S. Text the word BLIND to 85944 to donate $10 to the NFB Imagination Fund via
your phone bill.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between
blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want; blindness is not
what holds you back.
