I have experienced the same issues using both JAWS and WE so at least in some instances, it does not appear to be a screen reader issue. Perhaps it could be settings in IE that need to be changed, or just the way that the page is coded. I do know that sometimes changing from IE to Firefox seems to fix some of these issues, i. e. making links work, and opening edit boxes and combo boxes.

I know that a screenreader can't overcome a poorly designed web site but I can empathize with those that feel that accessibility in general is not as good as it should be nowadays. I will continue to use WE and hope that future releases will address some of these issues.
