I cannot find verbosity either.

Go to advanced options, go to verbosity, expand it and do whatever it is you
want to do.  If you don't want to hear star when entering the password
field, go to miscellaneous.

A general question; I have not been able to find verbosity when I arrow down
after pressing control-backslash.  Devices (7 of 7)is as far as I can arrow.
What am I doing wrong?
