If you have the paid version of WE, tech support is free.

Mark,

Sorry if I left the impression that I considered myself completely up the proverbial creek when it came to receiving any kind of tech support from I Squared, That really wasn't my intention.

If I find that none of the suggestions put forth by list members so far do the trick, sooner or later, I will definitely spring for a little help <smile>.

I really can't speak highly enough of the team at I Squared. And GW Micro's support has been nothing but helpful over these past 14 years or so on the rare occasion that I needed it. Nothing but praise here. Not to mention the product. WE is truly the best.

Thanks for the heads up,

Larry

Ai Squared has discounted support plans available as Pam mentioned but you can also pay for a single support incident if that is your preference.

You can call them, but I think you have to pay something. From what I
remember, you get to have 12 calls a year, I think, for a certain price.
But it seems that you are having such a problem that, if they can help you,
it might not matter, if they can help you settle it. Pam.

Oh patient listers,

If this doesn't ultimately get permanently resolved, I think I will end
up pulling what is left of my hair completely out!

Ever since I first installed Window-Eyes 9.1 on this new Dell machine
back in April, (I am presently using 9.2), I have been absolutely unable
to get keys to speak with characters to stick. At times it seems as if I
have this problem licked, but the next day or hour, for that matter, the
setting will become changed, and I go back to the associated set file,
and once again turn on the setting, make damn sure I have the setting at
global, with global scope toggle on as well, press ctrl+s to save, and
all of that, I can think of nothing more to do, it still wont stay set.

I know that was a sentence full, but I am just about at my whits end
trying to figure this one out.

I have followed these instructions to a tee, I don't even no how many
times by now, and still no everlasting joy.

Surely there must be an answer, but it eludes me.

I should use an exclamation point with each sentence uttered here, but
I'll spare all of you that. I wont even use all caps <smile>, though I
think it really might be appropriate in this case.

But, can somebody please, please, help! This really can't be that tough
of a nut to crack.

I'm using WE for Office, so can't call the boys at AI Squared. I'm not
complaining, mind you, but dem, unfortunately, is the facts of life.

OK, nuff said, but if someone could please offer some helpful advice, or
wise counsel, it would be ever so greatly appreciated,

Larry
