its not a bust. its better then ever once you get it going.
which version of w e was installed before windows 10 was installed?
I believe you have to uninstall window eyes before you upgrade to windows 10
from windows 7.
then install w e 9.2 after windows 10 is installed.
***once you have done a in place installation and it has been activated you
could
wipe the drive and do a clean install of windows 10 again.
you would not need a activation key because it is retrieved from microsoft when
you install it again. then you have a fresh version of windows with none of the
file coruption you may have had in windows 7.
yes you would need help to get to the desktop and install w e 9.2 then 9.3 but
it would work much better.
as far as the w e cd disk not starting this may be because it is not setup to
load.
you would have to go to the control panel, to auto run and tell windows what
you want the different cd or dvd types you want to run and what to do when you
insert them.
the other way would be to press windows e to open this pc. go to the c dvd
drive and open to see the files and run w e from the setup.exe program to start
the installation.

Subject: Windows 10 Upgrade a Disaster

Hi, Folks. I tried upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 on a Dell
Precision 1700 with 8GB RAM. While I got to Narrator, I couldn't get
the Window-Eyes CD or DVD to start. When I tried to run Window-Eyes
at the desktop, the sound card got stuck and I had to shut the machine off.

When I restarted the computer, I got the Windows 7 sound, the
Window-Eyes sound, and nothing happened. With sighted help, I was
able to restore the previous build, and now it's working. Is there
something I'm missing? Why won't the CD spin up when I insert
it? Is there something else I need to do? As far as I'm concerned,
this whole Windows 10 upgrade's a bust.--Matthew Chao
