Here are the two steps. Try these two steps.  Make sure that Becky is off line. 
 That's done by going to the message menu and hitting the letter "o".  Hope 
this helps.

Becky works very well but you need to change two settings.  In the Tools, 
General setup dialog on the Message View tab, uncheck the "Control four-way 
button with arrow keys" check box and the cursor will work when you are reading 
messages.  In the Editor tab in the same dialog, uncheck the Display line 
pointer option which, if checked, can cover up the first character.
