Well, when you're working on email, it's hard to know which method is appropriate without trying one of the methods out. But, if the old way doesn't get you very far, try again using the f8 f8 method. Most people these days seem to use html messages, so the new method is probably going to work the first time in most instances.
Just position yourself on the first character to be selected, and press f8. Find the last character to be included in your selection, get your cursor on it, and press f8 again. You will be immediately offered several options, so listen. Tabbing will get you to the selection you want. When you get there, just press spacebar to execute it. Options include text with or without formatting, then I think there's a reset and a cancel option. What I don't like about this new method is that you can only copy; you can't delete selected text -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+gosselin_louis=myfairpoint....@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Don Smith via Talk Sent: Monday, March 07, 2016 9:22 AM To: 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: copy and paste Morning all: Ok, like others, I hate this new way of copying and pasting. So, some questions 1. Does copy and paste work the same way in word and emails and in note pad? Next, what I tried sure did not work by function 8 to select and f8 to end Please, what do I do to make it work Thanks Don _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
