I had this same problem with a laptop I was upgrading, I downloaded the Media tool and the installation went fairly quickly. I've been waiting for action ever since about 7:00am CDT, and It is now 3:40pm and there has been no sign of movement throughout that time period. I just downloaded the media tool, and will soon give it a go. Will let everybody know how things progress.
