I think that I've figured out what is going on with being forced to search
with the Edge browser.
On my Windows 10 pro machine, search uses the default browser. On my and my
Wife's laptops which are running Windows 10 home, Edge is the browser for
searches no matter what the default browser is.
I hope that Edge gets much better soon! Time and change march on and if we
want to keep current, we need to adapt to the changes that are coming. Smart
phone users have been getting updates forced on to them by saying these are
security improvements and that same philosophy has now come to Windows. For
myself, I'm forging forward and speaking out for accessibility as I do!

Hi there BOB & Group!
I have found the same thing. I will continue to use IE as my default
browser until something better comes a llong. Yes, I also have Chrome
and Fire Fox but they still don't really meet my needs either. I will
continue to check back with edge from time to time to see if and or
how much it has improved. Catch Ya Later! de

Hi,
I just tried the Microsoft edge browser this morning and found that
it is starting to work a little. I can now tab from link to link,
but the arrow keys still do not speak. The only browser in which the
mouse keys work is still Internet Explorer and that's why that
browser is still my default browser.
