And add that hideous copy protection system.

The old GW Micro always behaved ethically in my opinion, and although I have
always been forthright regarding some aspects of how customer sales and service
is delivered to those of us outside the U.S., Window-eyes has always been a
good performer in my life since 1998.

Change is always inevitable - but squashing of competitors who try to provide
consumer choice, and who just have to also make a living seems destructive to
me.

you already know what is going to happen.
virtually all schools, businesses use jaws. not window eyes.
when all the dust settles jaws will be the only screen reader choice. you will
pay there price or do without.
it won't be profitable for one company to support two screen readers.
look at what many companies have done. they usually look for companies that are
in trouble, buy them out for pennies on the dollar. then put them out of
business. to aquire there buildings and land.

Well now, remember guys this is assistive tech. Lack of cash flow will make big
deals look interesting. Obviously GW Micro/AI Squared couldn't get things done
on their own. I hope this won't ruin the quality of the products. Remember,
folks, free alternatives are out there, and

they aren't half bad either. Choices, folks, choices...
