When I first got these calls they said they were from Microsoft but with
later calls they did not make that claim. If you let them have a remote
connection they will install bad things on your computer then charge you
to remove them.

Looks like most here have had to deal with these guys as well. Some of
your responses were quite good! A couple of them had me laughing.
Had me wishing they would call me back again so I could pull the same
stunts.
I did respond one time where I completely had the guy speechless.
Idiot Caller: Hello this is Windows Technical Support. We have detected a
problem with your computer.
Grumpy Dave: Sorry, but I use an Apple System. Apples do not run MS
Windows.
The guy didn't know what to say to that one.
Actually, I think Apple systems can run MS Windows, but if you have an
Apple, why put MS Windows on it? Well, I can see needing to run some
software that is only made for Windows. But even then, I think I would just
buy a cheap MS Windows System, rather than having a Dual-Boot Mac.
But thanks for the feed back for the question. I am not as concerned
about these calls now.
