Hello Mark
This is a problem I have encountered for quite a while. I am now
using Windows 10 and it seems to happen even more often than with Win
7 8 and 8.1.
I have found that tabbing and checking every tab with control shift A
is the easiest method for me. Eventually you land on a link where WE
will say "Browse mode off" I then use control shift A again and I get
in to browse mode. Many web pages appear where We seems neither to be
in or out of browse mode. I think of it as being a browse limbo
zone. I'm using We 9.5.1 with Win 10.
Best wishes

Hi Barbara,
This is an intermittent issue that I have seen from time to time in
both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Assuming you are using a fully
updated version of Internet Explorer 11 without any additional
toolbars or extensions installed, I don't think there is anything
you can do to prevent the problem as it seems to occur randomly
without much of a pattern. Your best course of action is to try and
recover from the issue as quickly as possible. The troubleshooting
steps your listed are spot on. First, try to toggle Browse Mode to
see if it comes back. If not, try refreshing the web page. If that
fails, closing and reopening the browser is logical next step. If
that doesn't do the trick, relaunching Window-Eyes or restarting the
PC is recommended. I am curious to know if those using newer
versions of Windows are experiencing this problem more or less than
people using Windows 7.
Best,
Marc

Subject: Browse Mode not Available
Hi Everyone,
I have Windows 7, IE 11, and WE 9.51.
From time to time, I will go to a web site and get the message
browse mode not available. It is different sites and it occurs in a
haphazard pattern.
I have tried the F5 refresh key and this does not help. Nor does
toggling browse mode off/on using shift/control/a. So I close IE
and reopen it and go to the same web site and all works fine.
Any ideas what is going on and how to prevent this?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Barbara
