Hi Don: The privacy settings are more about what information Microsoft gathers and saves about you and related to various features. You can check them out by tabbing to the start menu, arrowing down to the settings button, hit it, then right arrow to the Privacy item, hit enter, then arrow up and down the list of items. The General item at the top of the list has some things you might want to turn off and you can tab or right arrow through the options for the General item. You can go back, tabbing, to the General item and arrow down through the list of other optional things. I also turned off several of the items listed in the background apps item. You might have to do some googling before turning an item off to ensure you don't need it and that will depend on what you are using that requires you to share data on your computer with Microsoft Online in the cloud as it were. Ditto the background apps. Just don't turn off something you use on a regular basis but I believe you could always just turn it back on - not sure since I just don't use the items I turned off. Again, know what you use and if not sure do some homework googling. Rick USA
