Hi Jo, It's a bit of a learning curve, but you first need to install Adobe Acrobat DC here:
https://get.adobe.com/reader/ After this, you would install the software, and I figure you would be given the option of making it the default program for opening PDFs, but even if not this can be done quite easily. There are number of configurations you could make in order to make reading PDFs easier, like changing to continuous rather than page mode, but Control-Page Down and Control-PageUp will move you from page to page. I won't say too much now, but this should get you going.
