Thank you Tom for being constructive as ever. We must talk to people assuming that they are concerned about the purpose of their product, rather than simply looking for a means of maximising their revenue. Talking to the latter is pointless, so let's at least assume that there is, in the policy of the company, some distinction between something like access technology and optional luxury products.
For example, whatever health care system we live under, we hope that our doctor has some interest in curing us, rather than in merely maximising his/her personal profit.
