I agree. If you look at the time and expertise which has gone into developing the product, then you can't expect to get that for nothing. Throughout my working life Vocal-eyes and then Window-eyes has been there to support me.
IN my naivety I have always believe that there was little to choose between Jaws and Window-eyes but it has always seemed to me that the support given to Window-eyes users has been far superior to that provided to Jaws users. I'll be as sorry as anyone to see the demise of Window-eyes but am trying to be positive. Perhaps what this merger will mean is that the technical knowledge for both products will be brought together to create a new and even better beast, combining the best of both systems.
