Myself, I know the keyboard is layed out just likd a regular keyboard fo
whatever letter myy finger lands on first I know about where to move to for
the letter I need. When you first touch a letter, Icon, or whatever using
voice over the voice over will speak the letter when you hear the letter
you want you do a quick double tap with that finger, just like double
clicking the mouse. you can get fairly fast with it, but either using
dictation or a blue tooth keyboard is the most efficient way.

Subject: a question about using touch screens
OK folks, I've been wanting to ask this for a long time. Not having ever
attempted to use a tablet, iPhone or any other touch screen device, I
realize just how stupid this question might sound, but bear with me, OK?
I just want to know how a blind user like myself avoids becoming a hunt
and pecker when trying to type on a touch screen. There obviously can't
be anything like home keys, or a easily recognizable home base for the
fingers, so short of having to buy and use a bluetooth keyboard, how do
you guys who make use of these screens do it?
Please be nice <smile>.
Larry
