Hi:

George wants to completely silence speech. There is an undefined WE hotkey for
this, which I directed him to (pardon the dangling participle).

Also, the way WE seems to work on my system, it intercepts keystrokes before
the Intel display driver. There were older versions of WE that didn’t
intercept keystrokes first, but, they fixed this a while back. However, there
have been times when something didn’t work correctly, so disabling these
hotkeys in the Intel graphics options can still be a good idea. After all, how
many of us blinks need or want to flip the screen. Good to disconcert a few
sightlings, perhaps.

sure there is. use the w e hot keys.
this would depend on if you are useing a desktop or laptop keyboard layout.
but the first thing to check is see if you have a intel display card from the
windows control panel because w e and the intel use the same keys to flip the
screen in landscape or portrit mode.
you have to turn the hot keys off in control panel/display.
then you can use the w e hot keys
i have a desktop and the keys are control alt and the 4 pack keys up,down, left
and right keys.
with these you can turn the w e volume up or down.
rate, tone, etc. nothing will be changed unless you save your settings. so
don't worry if you get the voice settings messed up.

Is there a way to do it temporarily and how?
