Most definitely, because for the foreseeable future, it is being developed.
However: be prepared for something of a learning curve. Lots of help and training resources. Verbosity can be highly customised, but perhaps not as easily as with Window-eyes. A major part of learning JAWS are its tutor messages, which prompt for keys to activate as part of getting the job done. And if you are learning specific applications, you can create your own custom tutor messages.
The main training resource is in the form of a daisy structured component within JAWS. And you can buy extra stuff as well - although I haven't.
