Hi, to turn off html composing, go to Tools > Account Settings, then
choose your account in question, make sure the tree view is open, arrow
to composition. Now tab to the check box which is composing in html and
uncheck it.
I'm not sure about message deletion since I just empty my trash from
time to time.

other settings should be fine and totally user preference. Oh, and of
course with the recent versions of software, turning message threads.
One last thing, you might want to turn off the preview pane, toggled
with F8 or from the View/Layout menu.

are in a message list and you set it for threads, press the star
key, which is shift number eight and it will expand all the threads
allowing you to see each message individually.

I find with Jaws I have to view messages as threaded which I don't
like. Is there a way to read messages as unthreaded. Jaws doesn't
seem to read the titles unless threaded. Hoping there is a setting

I like the way Window-eyes works with Thunderbird much better,
hoping this issue in jaws will be fixed.
