I was taught that it was exactly the opposite of what you say. That windows key minimizes things when you go to the desktop, and windows key doesn't. Pam.

the correct key is windows d. not windows m. windows m will not minimize things like dialog boxes that may be opened in a program. windows d will minimize
everything.

Try using windows key M to get back to the desktop.

Hi,
Just authorized the latest copy of Jaws and very much a learner.

When exiting a programme, say Thundrbird, or exiting a drive for the Desktop, ,after pressing alt F4 Jaws goes quiet. The pressing of Windows d once or twice is required to place focus back on the Desktop.

Is this annoying behaviour normal for Jaws or do I need to change some setting somewhere? If so, which setting and where?

Thanks
Neville.
