This does work to get a shortcut, and I know that I can rename the shortcut. Is there a way to force this shortcut to be the first one on my desktop?
thanks,
Jeff Weiss

Hi Jeff,

If you find your Windows user profile folder, you can simply highlight each of the folders you want desktop shortcuts for, press the Applcations key, press N for Send to, and then press D for desktop and then press Enter (since there's probably more than one item starting with D on the Send to menu).

Hth,

Rod

In order to install jaws 18, I have had to create a new profile.
Now, for some reason, on both the new and original profile, the start menu does not work as before. I am unable to arrow up and down through the start menu items—they are there as links that I have to click on with the mouse.

Also, on the new profile, how do I make the profile folder with downloads, music, etc. appear on the desktop? I don’t want a short-cut, but I want the first thing on the desktop to be my profile name where I can press enter and find all those folders like it is on the original profile.
Any help appreciated.
Jeff Weiss
