Hi:

That clanging sound can be disabled in Windows sounds.

Press the Windows key and type “system sounds” in the search box. One of the
results you get will be “system sounds”. Press Enter on that one and you can
then explore which sounds are used for which programs. There will be a
category of sounds for Window-eyes. Under that, you should be able to find it.

I should be around later if you’re having trouble finding it.

Subject: How to get rid of that Annoying Clang Sound when Opening a
Messagecontaining Table Format

Hello everyone,
This is a Window-Eyes 101 issue which I have hunted all over to resolve.
There is a really loud and obnoxious clang sound which occurs when one opens
a message in Outlook which is in table format as well as when you receive
alerts in a browser. It is so loud, that I frequently miss the
message/warning or related. I have tried to find where this sound is
triggered and yes, it's probably blatantly obvious! <smile!>

So where is this sound activated and can it be disabled?

Thanks.

Amanda Lee
