Hi Amanda,

The offending file is named InfoBar.wav.
You'll find it in the Window-Eyes profiles folder.
I think you can delete it or at least rename it, say, to InfoBar.off and it
won't be found by Window-Eyes and so it won't play.

Hth,

Rod

Subject: How to get rid of that Annoying Clang Sound when Opening a Message
containing Table Format

Hello everyone,
This is a Window-Eyes 101 issue which I have hunted all over to resolve.
There is a really loud and obnoxious clang sound which occurs when one opens
a message in Outlook which is in table format as well as when you receive
alerts in a browser. It is so loud, that I frequently miss the
message/warning or related. I have tried to find where this sound is
triggered and yes, it's probably blatantly obvious! <smile!>

So where is this sound activated and can it be disabled?

Thanks.

Amanda Lee
