Hi Carol, Just a shot in the dark, since I don't use TB, but if you're in browse mode, can you turn it off with Ctrl-Shift-A; in any case, can you not just F6 over to the folders?

We have turned off the splash screen, but that does not make any difference. Neither one of us has any mouse function in Thunderbird any longer and I used to doo a simple search for inbox and mouse click it and the inbox came right up.
