Hi, A couple of things come to mind:
First if you are opening Word documents from email attachments in Outlook, it will typically access them in Protected View Mode. The workaround is to save the Attachment and then open it not from an Email. The other issue is that the creator of the documents may have set a password or other permissions. You may be able to revert this by going to the properties of each document and I seem to recall it's under Advanced Options and there's checkboxes and then of course be certain to apply the changes. Last, it's not typically a default of Word but be certain that it also isn't applying Protected View Mode to documents when opened. Hopefully others will add their input here. Can someone tell me how to change this so I can read the document? I am using Windows 10 with WE 9.54 and MS Office 2013. Thanks much! Be blessed!
