OK, this now works. (If someone happens to enter an apostrophe s on the map using the rsquo (UTF-8 character "\xE2\x80\x99") rather than the straight apostrophe (UTF-8 "\x27"), this will also work, but not until either the whole database is reloaded, or the node in question is touched).
