The options suggested were Excellent, Good, Poor and Avoid, so Good and Poor are adjacent options and so if a road is not quite "Good" it must be "Poor".ke, 2008-05-07 kello 20:13 +0100, Chris Hill kirjoitti:[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:Hello,I would like to use osm to tag the appropriateness for use by road racing bicycles to roads. I have searched the mailing list and the wiki, but found no suitable commonly accepted tag. Riding on a road by a racing bike is not just a matter of surface quality but also a matter of traffic density and maybe other factors. Because of that, I believe a new tag like "racebiking"="excellent","good","poor" or "avoid" would be a good way to express this property of the road. What do you think? Anyway, for grading to work, good guidelines would be a must. It would be interesting to see some experimenting to happen with grading. That would be the best way to find out how it works :-) Not to be misunderstood, I don't think that widespread grading of things would work well (if it would work well at all). If taken to use, it probably should be applied only to some selected objects, and after discussion. Regards, Ari Torhamo Cheers, Chris |
