Well, search eBay for "GPS recorder" (d'uh) or "GPS logger". There are cheap-o loggers from 40 bucks onwards. Any that can be configured to log one point every second will do. Be advised, though, that GPS logging is quite addictive. You'll be wanting a logger capable of logging data to an SD card in no time (so you don't have to download the data every day). I mean, who doesn't love OSM maps in an eTrex?
