Sorry to be off-topic, but has anyone looked in to building "the perfect OSM GPS logger" from parts? I wonder if the overall price would be less than $40 if we put together a GPS chipset, an SD card slot, and a simple microcontroller. No screen, just one mode: record every second to the SD card.
