Exactly. Vandalism will increase as project popularity will increase and we are not ready to face that. You cannot rely on experienced/enabled community members as it will happen more and more often. The main site provides all opportunities for easy vandalism (e.g. the online editor) and the community has all opportunities to detect them (e.g. view contributors edits) but nothing to revert the 145 RR8 changesets in an easy way - or at least give a try. We understand that the revert might fail if someone changed the data again but contributors who doesn't want to use perl scripts can accept this and fix them manually.
