There are a lot of claims on the list and the wiki that CC-BY-SA "doesn't work", but that doesn't make them true. The only plausibly credible claim as to why CC-BY-SA "doesn't work" is that the database isn't copyrightable in the first place. But 1) that's not strictly true, the database is copyrightable, to some extent, in some jurisdictions. And 2) there's no harm in giving a license in a case where the copyrightability of the work is unclear and/or disputed.
