Maybe Google already scratches that itch. I don't see any point in OSM duplicating much of what is already freely and copiously available. OSM's uniqueness lies in it's ability to cater for needs that are not otherwise met. It might be cycle maps or humanitarian maps or maps for developing countries or even just post boxes, but I can't see our community getting excited about house numbers.
