this looks like an interesting platform. I think that local wikis can be really useful in daily life and have great potential to spread the idea of open content. After all, they are probably more approachable for most people than huge projects like Wikipedia. There is actually an independent MediaWiki-based local wiki in my town already, but some years ago they converted to a non-free license in order to appease the local news paper that runs the servers. :( Anyway, good luck for your project!
