A human viewer will see each style also. - Mechanical tag consolidation is possible in OSM, though it's pretty hard. I recently completed tag consolidation on motorhome toilet dump stations (though failed to get consensus on the related boat feature). That was a much smaller feature count, but dozens of tagging styles.
