That reminds me of the Sun Java 1.4 cert exam... that focused on cs
style topics such as bit shifting, whereas 1.5 dropped that in favour
of knowledge of the apis (io for example) - mainly to ensure people
that passed the exam could actually do some 'real world' programming.
