Well, the answer to your question is yes and no using the app Best
Dictaphone. I played a MP3 file and recordered the audio sound that was
playing. Although the recording was from the phone's internal mike it was
hard to tell that the recoorded sound was not directly from the source. This
was especially true when the recording was made using the higher quality
.wav format instead of the lower quailit amr format which was not to bad
either. Just don't talk while you are recording and this may very well work
for you. Other people may have different results using other programs. I am
interested in hear feedback myself.

Subject: [Talks] Recording software
I've never gotten into recording things from my phone, but I have a
question now about the various recording software available. With any of
them can you record other things besides a phone call. I have no desire to
record a phone call, but I'm interested in maybe a program I'm listening
to or a song I'm listening to on internet radio, etc. Can you do that or
are they just designed to record conversations.
Denise
