hi Maurice,
is me again, perhaps i am the most busy body person here on the list. but
however, let me try to answer to your female colleague
question.

nokia have the following touchscreen phones:

5228/5230/5233/5235/5530/5800/C5-03: (Symbian 9.4 or Symbian^1) full resistive
touchscreen.
N97/N97 mini/C6-00: (Symbian 9.4 or Symbian^1) resistive touchscreen with
slideout qwerty keyboard.
X6-00: (Symbian 9.4 or Symbian^1) full capacitive touchscreen.
C6-01/C7-00/N8-00/X7-00: (Symbian^3/Symbian Anna) full capacitive touchscreen.
E7-00: (Symbian^3/Symbian Anna) capacitive touchscreen with slideout qwerty
keyboard.
E6-00: (Symbian^3/Symbian Anna) capacitive touchscreen with qwerty keyboard.

so, in another word, there's no touchscreen phone with numbering keypad
available so far.

please take note, phone that with Symbian Anna such as E6-00, X7-00 or any
other Symbian^3 phones that going to upgrade to Symbian
Anna will not work properly with current release of Talks 5.20.3 on various
area, e.g. the web browser and email application.

HTH.

Subject: [Talks] Keypad and Touchscreen phones.

Hi All.
Now I realise this issue has been quite a hot topic over the past few days
in some guise or another so I wonder if anyone can assist me without me
starting another debate.

A colleague has asked me if there are any Touchscreen phones that also have
a keypad - not a Qwerty Keypad wh ich they can use for texting.
They really like the Touch Screen but find Texting slow without a keypad.

Now to be fair I know what she's saying as even with my E7, I find using
the Qwerty keypad slower than my N86 keypad.
I think the problem I personally have is that when I turn the E7 around to
text, as it's only got one speaker, my fingers sometimes seem to mask the
sound.

So, Does anyone know of a phone with Touchscreen capability and a keypad
and of course that can be used with Talks.

Thanks.

  Maurice Press.
