Salon Recuerdo, Los Angeles' Thursday night milonga, announces two very special events. First, this Thursday, November 2, we will have a birthday party for tango star and milonguero extraordinaire CARLOS COPELLO of Carlos and Alicia. He tells us it's his "29th" birthday, but hmmm, we're not sure.... The milonga and birthday party starts at 9 p.m. There is a beginners' class from 8 - 9. Class and milonga and refreshments $10 per person. Also joining us will be Gachi Fernandez and Sergio Cortazzo, two of the stars of "Tango X 2" and "Una Noche De Tango." We'll also have round three of our Jack-and-Jill tango contest. Congratulations to last week's winners, Darwin Bayerkohler and Brenda Ferreira!
On Thursday, November 9 we will be having a fabulous TANGO DINNER SHOW with delicious Italian food and a show starring Carlos and Alicia and Gachi and Sergio. Milonga will follow. That evening starts at 7:30 p.m. (no tango class that night). Elegant attire suggested. $25 per person in advance; $30 at the door.
