About Ernest

Ernest Williams is a new tango force on the East Coast now based in the
DC/Baltimore area. He started his tango career in Carmel, CA with an Argentine
gentleman by the name of Fernando Fillipelli. Ernest has spent more than 4
years acquiring knowledge and developing his unique style in classes and
milongas in over 15 cities across the U.S. Cities such as San Francisco, New
York, Denver, Seattle, New Orleans, Atlanta, San Diego, Dallas, Austin,
Honolulu and Philadelphia are the most notable. His creativity, musicality and
style have turned heads and made him a hot item on many dance floors. Ernest
started his teaching career in Hawaii where he taught for almost two years. He
then relocated to the East Coast to dance and teach full time first spending 7
months helping the Virginia Beach tango community grow and recently relocating
to Maryland to spread his influence. Ernest's dancing is playful, energetic at
times; yet graceful, intuitive and full of feeling. His teaching is clear and
easy to understand. He can cover a topic holistically and with the necessary
detail to get the point across without over-burdening students with
technicality. Priding himself as a teacher who can field even the most
difficult of questions with clarity, Ernest sees each question as an
opportunity to explore many possibilities.
