Tango Zen is an innovative yet natural form of meditating while dancing
Tango. With striking similarities between the two disciplines, this
workshop will introduce methods through which anyone, young or old,
dancer or not, can experience and enjoy the wonderful benefits of both
Tango and Zen. Adapted from martial arts, meditation techniques, and
sports as well as Tango, the exercises sharpen concentration through an
engaging physical discipline. Through repetition, participants can
acquire a better sense of balance, connection, centering, grounding and
weight shifting, all of which are critical for tango dancing.

Chan & Eugenia Park are innovative and adventurous tango dancers who are
pioneering the concept of Tango Zen through their appearances throughout
Europe, Asia, North & South America, and through Chan's popular new book
Tango Zen: Walking Dance Meditation. Based in Washington D.C., they are
known for their unique and elegant style of dancing close embrace, and
for the attentiveness they give each student. Emphasizing joy, movement,
connection and creativity, they concentrate on simple body movement,
appreciation of music, recognition of inner self and oneness with one's
partner. Eugenia and Chan encourage students to be creative in their own
dancing and realize & express their true nature through Argentine Tango.

Woodstock Tango hosts weekly classes, monthly workshops, milongas (tango
social dances) and the Visiting Master's Series with some of the most
accomplished dancer/teachers in NYC , the USA and Buenos Aires. For more
