Well, a lot of services will just flat out lease you a box, then
it's up to you to use whatever you want on them. Usually for $100 per month
or so, you can get a box with a static IP address and an internet
connection. You can, of course, pay a lot more if you require, say hot
hourly backup and a fault tolerant raid array on the box.

        I'm leasing a box right now from Godaddy (yes, the guys with the
well endowed woman on the commercials) for about $120 a month. I wouldn't
necessarily recommend them (their customer service tries very hard not to
answer any questions put to them), but there are other providers in that
range and if you're confident you can set up and run your own box using
nothing more than ssh and ftp one of them should do the trick.
