Out here in NM, I'm lucky to keep them above 30% in the case with constant humdifiying. I've switched to little plastic tubs with a sponge soaking wet in them and a bunch of holes drilled in the top (cost me a couple bucks each total). I've got to refill them every few days. Fits under the headstock in most cases. I know it's not inside the mando like the green snake, but it seems to be working. If your mandolin's gone flat every time you take it out of the case, it's drying out and needs a drink.
